Herb and I are Shannon’s parents and Gary and Bill are her brothers. We got to spend some time with Sara and she stole our hearts. Sara was a “delight” and made our lives better for knowing her. You are a wonderful parent – it showed through your daughter.

Jim & Family,
I want to express my deepest and most heartfelt sorrow for the loss of your precious Sara. My heart is broken for you and your family. My daughter Keeley, was friends with Sara through Sparkman. I got to know Sara there as well. The memories that I have of Sara are of her hopping into the room, always with her arm around a friend. Ready to help with our Father’s Day gifts, (even though she wasn’t in our class!) Wrapping her little arms around Mr. Westking’s middle (sizeable middle!) She was always happy and smiling. You and I sat next to each other that day the kids had their dance recital on the playground. (Remember my husband was trying to get there and you told him to take an alternate route because of an accident on the 15?) I knew that you were a special dad to make it to a school event during the week. I am so that that you had each other. Keeley has been having a hard time, but she expresses her grief through writing letters to Sara. She has a big heart too, maybe that is why she and Sara got on so well. I’ll close by saying that if anything positive is to come of this tragedy it is that I and my family will hold our children closer and appreciate our time with them more than ever.

I can’t believe it. I never thought that I would lose a friend, especially someone like you. You were a great friend, and I wish we could have played with each other more. But I guess we never did, but we got to see each other at Marli’s birthday party. We had lots of fun, didn’t we? We were over come by sadness when we were told the heart wrenching news that your Sara went to heaven. I immediately thought of a time when Sara was probably 4 or 5 years old, and my mother and I came down to visit. We went out to eat with Mardi and Sara, Sara talked through the entire lunch sharing all of her adventures. I fell in live with her precious spirit. As the years went on I had a daughter of my own, and when they met they shared a kindred spirit. I cannot express how sorry we are that we did not share more time together. We love you and pray for you daily as you come to terms with the unimaginable may the Lord carry you through!!

I have been praying for you, the Lord reminded me of the scripture in Mark 4:39 When Jesus “rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, peace be still and the wind ceased and there was a great calm.” AND the Lord in His loving kindness is saying to you, Jimmy PEACE BE STILL. Listen to what the Lord is speaking to you. He has a plan for your life, a very special plan, quite opposite from the enemy’s plan, and God’s economy and wisdom.
